The "Queen" of Rock and Roll

On this day, 17 years ago, the QUEEN of Rock and Roll paid his dues and went home to hell as he so wanted. He knew that hell was where everyone that was someone would be; a party awaiting his arrival.

Thank you LOCO network for airing this wonderful collaboration of Freddie's short life. I have to admit that I shed many tears while watching this beautiful celebration of his life. Understandably, A man who only wanted to be loved and accepted for his choice in love. A flamboyant talented soul that will certainly live on in my heart forever!

Keep it comin'!

10pm Thursday, November 20 - Snow again! YIIPPEE!!!!

This morning, before my husbands 5am alarm went off, we were forced awake by Kristin's banter of, "NO SCHOOL MOM"! uh huh... thats twice this week!

Oh look, here is her four-wheeler covered with the morning fun! WHOOPS . . I think someone forgot to put it away like she was supposed to.

We got about 2 inches and I was hoping for more. Crazy thing is, today is the first day of Winter and we have gotten the heavenly white stuff twice already. . . Winter is looking up! NOW, bring on the snow in feet!!!
On another tangent, last nights Survivor was by far the FUNNIEST episode in Survivor history. Kudos Sugar for that blindside!!! The Survivor finale and Reunion will totally be must-see TV!!!

A little of this and a little of that!

What a week it has been. From COLD to SNOW to COLD.

Here are a few pics of the snow that closed the kids school on Tuesday...Taking a pic while driving... safe huh?

The back yard that faces the New River

The snow amounted to NOTHING! Just raging flurries!

Here is Kris with her hair colored . . well, we put it back to the original color.

On to Matt's driving. OMG, I must have been reincarnated as a human from a cat. I know this because I should have died again last weekend. JD was treated to the "scare the shit out of you driving" that I have been so gracious to keep to myself until now. I feel he needs to get the full experience that I am exposed to! Now I know why they have to drive so many hours and wait so long to get their drivers licenses!!! I am totally serious when I say that my mother deserves an award for being the most patient parent. ME, I just wanna live; screw patience!

BRING BACK IN SCHOOL BEHIND THE WHEEL!!! I taught him to walk, talk, respect but I will be damn if I signed on to be a Drivers Ed teacher... hehehe...just kidding!

I love great weekends!!!

This past weekend was a great weekend. Not only is gas at $1.97/gallon but both kids did some interesting things.

Matt got his learners' permit on Saturday and spent the whole weekend chauffeuring me around. I will say that he only just about killed us once on Sunday.. While merging onto I81 there were two tractor and trailers side by side approaching the onramp and I told him either gas it or slow down and wait until they pass. He decided to pull out (going about 55mph and said out loud, they will just have to slow we hear the horns blaring and I turn to see the truck literally hairs from my bumper. I know I puked in my mouth and thought I saw a white light leading down a tunnel.... geez!

(Note to self: Call my mom and thank her for her patience while I was learning how to drive. Also, apologize to her for constantly laughing at her and her imaginary break she would ram through the floor everytime I drove).

Kristin decided to get all of her hair cut off like the pop singer Rhianna. I really think it looks amazing. It must be nice to be able to have all your hair cut off and still look good! I remember when my mother decided to take me to a friend of hers that cut hair and she literally butchered me. It was so short that I went to the pool the same day and could shake my hair dry upon exiting the pool. I always looked like a boy growing up and thanks to mom and the love for short hair.... No wonder I was so rebellious and mean . . . it was the short hair!

Lastly, we rented some movies over the weekend but one of them was so disturbing that I am still having nightmares, hallucinations, etc...

The Strangers is a very disturbing movie that my son literally left the room and could not finish watching. He LIVES for the Saw movies but totally could not make it through this one. I barely did. I don't know if it is because it was based on true events or what but it was S_C_A_R_Y!!

We also rented Joy Ride 2 which wasn't as real nor was it as disturbing.

Tonight I am hoping to watch the HULK with Edward Norton...mmmm mmmm mmmm
